http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=apEivHJhf1vE The winner of this weeks dump award: TradeKing. The streaming quotes function failed this afternoon. Active traders had to waste valuable time confirming that it was not their PCs causing the problem. A quick blog from ANYONE at TradeKing advising of the problem, and when it will be resolved (not working as I write this at 11:00 pm Central Time) would be welcome. Wouldn't it be far more efficient for TradeKing to post a notice in a short blog when problems such as this occur? Rather than having traders deluge customer service? Maybe they weren't deluged. I sure wanted to deluge somebody. Why should it be left to traders to determine the problem? Bad public relations if something of substance such as this, that hinders ones ability to trade, is viewed by the public in blog form? Who is more important , the comission paying trader or a "visitor" to the site. I don't know the answer but I know I'll move on if I can't be notified of problems that cost me money. In other words: You call me. I WON'T be calling you.
