I was minding my own business this morning. It was business as usual, buying PUTS on GM XLF and C. I've got these trades on speed dial. Things were looking so boring that I decided to take a twenty minute catnap. I sat back down at the computer and was mildly amused to see the market tanking. Again. Checking my mail I saw a message from my Trade King sweetie, Rebecca. In her message she teased me for buying C CALLS! I thought "Dear, sweet misguided lady." Checking my trades function I saw the trade listed as CALLS!!!!! My lit Winston fell from my left hand into my lap, but  the smoldering ember was extinguished when the tumbler of Tanqueray and Tonic fell from my right hand and also landed in my lap. I FLAT OUT PANICED! My trade was appearing in the Trade King community as a buy of Citigroup calls. Quickly I went to my summary page, picturing the loss of thousands of dollars caused by mistanly buying the wrong side of a trade. AHHH, the trade was entered correctly as put options in my account. Sweet relief. But wait! My trade was appearing in the Trade King community as a CALL option trade. Now I was completely horrified. Me, the author of the blog entitled "Just call me Buck Naked in the Citi" would now be the object of undeserved scorn because of erroneous data. What about my Trade King reputation as the writer of many blogs detailing WHY CITIGROUP SUCKS AND WILL CONTINUE TO SUCK FOR MANY YEARS. Well the idea of going long on this company is totally repugnant to me. CEO Vikrim Pandit is a do nothing executive whose biggest accomplishment in business was to sell his hedge fund to Citi before he became their CEO. Citi recently shut down the Valley fund before it collapsed. Now that's irony. Pandit sells them Valley fund. He pocketed +$100 million dollars in the sale. He becomes Citi CEO and has to shut down the fund because it's a loser. JUST ANOTHER DAY FOR A FOUNDERING BUSINESS THAT IS TO BIG TO FAIL AND PROBABLY TO BROKE TO SAVE.

I almost had a moment of insanity and bought a call on GM bright and early.  If it would have checked up on the way down I might have been crying on the floor drunk by noon

I noticed your C call too, was gonna call you out on that but I figured you'd write some note on it seeing as how you'd short C to death.

I almost thought you were giving back because you felt guilty about making too much money! :)

Great post Will!  I can always count on you for a few chuckles..... However on C..... I am not sure what this means for the short term, but i am hearing they just took the Government Credit Card program away from BOA.  This could be a boom for them and add some $$$ to the bottom line.  Not an endorsement by any stretch of the imagination, but that could be a big moneymaker for them in the future.
