Over at Market Watch, hedge fund manager and Morgan Stanley veteran Todd Harrison shares his Top 10 Commandments for traders. As he explains, these rules enabled him to "stay in the game," even when markets turned against him. Here are five of his rules for becoming a better trader:(1) Respect the price action, but never defer to it
(2) Discipline trumps conviction
(3) Opportunities are made up easier than losses
(4) Emotion is the enemy when trading
(5) Zig when others zag
As final words of advice, Todd offers the following: "And remember -- any trader worth his or her salt has endured periods of pain but if we learn from those mistakes, they'll morph into lessons. For if there wasn't risk in this profession, it would be called "winning," not "trading."
