The 27 best graphics for understanding the financial crisis

A picture, as they say, is worth a thousand words. With that in mind, Flowing Data has collected 27 of the very finest data visualizations and infographics to describe the global financial crisis. In the graphic above by Emilia Klimiuk, a series of arrows highlight how money has disappeared from taxpayer pockets (on the left) to a pile of toxic assets in Washington (at the bottom right). There are other infographics tracking the global flow of money, brief videos explaining the credit crisis, "bailout trackers," pictorial analyses of U.S. stimulus spending, and plenty of other useful tools and diagrams to make sense of the financial crisis.
