Fresh off seeing the movie "Fields of Fuel" at the Sundance Film Festival (Audience Award Documentary) I wrote an email to a senior PR guy at Ford offering a private screening to Bill Ford and his executive team.  Here is a copy of that email.  We await the official response:

**************

Dear Oscar,

My name is Peter Seed and I am a former employee of Ford having worked for Jaguar Cars (1987-1994). Mike O'Driscoll (President - Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover) is someone I worked with for many years.

The reason I am writing you is two-fold. First, I have fond memories of working for Jaguar and Ford back in the day.

More importantly, I was at the Sundance Film Festival, last week, and saw the Audience Award Winner Documentary called "Fields of Fuel". The film is made by a nice fellow by the name of Josh Tickell. He is a little bit of a "granola cruncher" - inventor of the veggie van, but a super-engaged, dedicated nice guy. The audience reaction to the film was absolutely amazing. People got it. They walked away totally inspired and willing to get involved. This is no ordinary film. Take my word for it, you want to see it.

After the movie I approached Josh and asked him how Bill Ford weighed in on his premise of biodiesel as a alternative fuel - knowing that Mr. Ford is very much into it. He indicated that he was very anxious to talk to Mr. Ford, but that all attempts to contact him, went for naught. I offered to contact the executive branch of Ford to see if we can connect some folks. Sometimes having worked in the industry for twenty years can open some doors.

Anyway, the "Fields of Fuel" guys want to offer up a private screening of the movie exclusively for Mr. Ford as well as any other executives involved in alternative fuels.

Let me know if we can set something up.
