Folks, I’m back on the road again, so I may not have time this week to write my final post on butterflies. (If you haven’t been following this series already, why not catch up now? It starts here.)
Meanwhile, I did want to give a shout-out to any of my readers in the Los Angeles and San Francisco area to let you know about a couple of FREE live seminars. They are located in Woodland Hills on June 24th and in San Francisco (by the SFO Airport) on June 25th. I will be tag teaming with Nicole Wachs, TradeKing’s Director of Education. We'll explore how implied volatility and an option's premium can help predict a potential price range for the underlying security over the life of an option contract. This concept will help you get a better grip on your strategy's probability of success - before you enter into a trade.
We’ll also dive into the ins and outs of trading exotic butterflies. You'll find out how to construct all different types of butterfly strategies, including open wing and ratio butterflies, and choose the appropriate market conditions to run each strategy. We'll also teach you how butterflies can be used to hedge a trade gone bad, and demonstrate how TradeKing's Profit and Loss Calculator can help you understand the risks and potential rewards of every trade you make.
It’s not too late to sign up! We’d love to see you there.
Regards, Brian (OG)
