Because everyone "knows" Apple will trade at 200 in 2008, the stock eventually will be at 200. It has now been at 200 and it seems so long ago, but I remain confident about Apple long term, and remain positive about macworld and upcoming earnings. I am expecting a selling pressure after MW and ER, however, since these represent major "sell the news" events and many buyers have been weathering the storm saying they will hold until January and then get out. After the initial gap ups (hopefully) I think we'll see a retreat in February of about 20% from post ER peaks. I would be a buyer again at that point.

I thought folks might be interested in knowing TradeKing's Probability Calculator gives your price target of 200 over a 78% chance of occurring between now and January 2009. The higher target of 220 has a 65% chance in this same time frame. This is calculated mostly by using option Implied Volatility data from the option marketplace. Even though you are not using options, some stock traders find this kind of information interesting. This tool is free to all TradeKing clients and may be found under Tools > Probability Calculator. Obviously, do not use the Calculator as a substitute for your judgment, but as one element to help you form views on a specific strategy.

nicole, just a piece of info, the screenshots that you posted are squished and unreadable. I have my monitor set at a very high resolution so that is not the issue either. Can you send me the two pictures?

Casey - thanks - after seeing how these live experiments came out today, we set immediately to work on both short and long-term image-uploading solutions.  Our short-term solution should be live late tomorrow afternoon.   Starting then, we'll have a way to post an image in, and then anyone can click on the image to enlarge it and see it clear as day, full-screen.  What do you think in general about this evolving direction we are testing out with our "All-Star Commentary" attached to selected TradeNotes?  If popular, we could possibly automate the ability for any TradeNote author or TK account holder to easily take or select a snap shot of one of our tool or research screens to augment their own TradeNotes and/or commentary.  I'd love to hear your thoughts on this concept.  Thanks!
