TradeKing's CIO Dan Raju is on the move!

Our CIO Dan has been in overdrive in recent months. Not only have we launched two mobile apps - one for BlackBerry and one for iPhone - we've also launched TradeKing's API and seeded a few early experiments in using it to crowd-source innovative apps for investors and traders, like the Loyola API Challenge. On top of all that, he recently spoke at the annual CIO Summit, in the company of tech leaders from Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Motorola and others:

Dan spoke on two different topics: one panel dealt with mobile applications, the other on next-generation platform delivery. We're starting to live this amazing reality already: namely, the traditional desktop computer and web browsers are giving way to a multiplicity of platforms, from iPads to mobile to social-sites curating the web to mashup applications of many kinds. People demand, and increasingly expect, to be able to connect with their favorite sites and services online through all kinds of devices and customized experiences. It's an exciting time to run an online business, to be sure.

I also got a laugh out of this photo below and its caption: "Cecil Lawson, CIO, San Jose Police Department; Dan Raju, CIO, TradeKing; and Joe Barfield, VP, IT, Omaha Airport Authority network during the CIO Summit." I'm happy to report Dan wasn't invited to take any "trips downtown" in the paddy-wagon after this photo was taken. ;-)

Nice work spreading the good word, Dan! We're excited to continue along the tech-path you're helping us blaze.
