Reach a live human in customer support

Here’s a tip I saw on Yahoo! News. If you’re tired of battling endless phone trees from faceless corporations just to talk to a real person, GetHuman and Bringo! can help.

As Yahoo! News reports, “GetHuman has compiled a list of all the methods, tricks, and tweaks you need to bypass IVR [Interactive Voice Response] for 500 of the largest and most commonly called companies you're likely to deal with, from car  and computer dealers to government agencies and more. Even better: GetHuman provides the toll-free number (or a regular toll number, if no toll-free line is available) you need to dial, too.” They also provide tips for finding phone numbers yourself (for those not listed on their site) and effective ways to bushwack your way to a human.

Also worth checking out: Bringo! These folks will actually dial the number for you, then ring you back when you're no longer on hold.

I like the chat application, utilize during normal biz hours. The phone is good and is very low wait time 5 to 15 seconds.

TradeKing staff  have always been friendly and helpful when i had to utilize chat or calling in person. Thanks for putting that upfront in the business plan.

I'm with WSK.  I normally also use the chat application when I have questions or something else that needs to be addressed.  I'm really glad you have this feature in addition to being able to call directly.

Of the businesses I interact with on the phone, TK and QVC (shopping channel) are at one end of the spectrum - get a real human in seconds who has all of your information on hand and can answer any business-related question and correctly perform almost any requested business task immediately.  Pretty much everyone else is at the extreme other end of the spectrum: reprehensible.  

Keep it up TK!

Guys, I'm so pleased to hear you're liking our customer support. As WSK noted, we've had excellent service front-and-center in the business plan since day one, so it means a lot to us to know that this effort doesn't go unnoticed by clients. In fact, given the generally shoddy state of customer service these days, great support seems to me nothing less than revolutionary - and it's a revolution we're proud to be a part of.

I'm also glad to hear you like chat. I'm a fan, too - when you\'re concentrating so much on your screen, it can be distracting to pull yourself from that mode into phone-mode and then back again. We think chat helps bypass that "switching" energy a little - plus we know lots of people use it now as a regular part of their workday. You have to serve the people where they already are, right?

i have been trying to get help for 10 hours on saturday...they cannot help me because their stoploss site is so un-intuitive...i have accounts at 4 brokerages and this one is the worst!!!!  and the one guy taking care of the whole country on saturday has no idea what he is talking about!!!!!!!!!!  i wish i was back in nam....things were so simple there
