Friday community shout-out!

What’s new in the TK community lately? Grab your cup o’ joe, kids, and let’s take a look:

Not surprisingly, given the market’s recent volatility, I’m seeing some pain in the community – but also some fighting spirit and smart strategies for riding out the rough spots. Upod summed things up nicely with this post entitled “Somebody please pass me a tissue”. Green Thumb’s interested in gold, and my buddy Lumburg’s been having luck with put options on sub-prime companies enjoying a short-lived bounce. And he’s not alone in still scrapping to turn a buck: K-Man keeps his eye on the delta with some nice success. And I loved Darylrs’ war cry in the opening line of this post: “Okay, people, enough fear! Let’s see some greed! (Or at least some cautious buying of good equities.)” Amen to that, Daryl – and with that I’ll wish you a great weekend!

I forgot all about that post. Man, was that a crazy day! Just thinking about it brings back a rush of adrenaline. I was wrong though; Helicopter Ben did fly in the next day with the .75% cut and saved me some embarrassment. The blanket was able to stay in the closet :)

Now that's what I call saved by the rate cut, Upod. Here's hoping you can keep that blanket in your closet for good. From your ROI you certainly look like you're hanging tough. Best of luck to you!
