I promised to highlight each major new feature of the redesigned TradeKing Community – so today the spotlight is on voting. Here’s a fast-and-easy tool that harnesses all of our opinions to help you find the best, most useful content coming out of our community.

How it works couldn’t be simpler: when you’re logged in to our site and read a great bit of content – whether it’s a blog post, trade or position note, whatever – you’ll see a button next to that content that says “GOOD POST”. Click that bad boy, and you’ll register another vote for that content as especially worth reading. It takes a split-second to do.

Now, let’s reap the benefits. Say you want to dive into our blogs, but you’d like to start with the best reads first – simple. Click on the Blogs tab, then filter the results for “Most Votes”. This takes you straight to the most popular reads among our blogs – a great way to slim down to the best content, or simply a smart starting-off point for more exploration.

For that matter, you might want to filter for “Most Comments”, to find the blog posts or trade notes generating the most active conversations among users – then jump into the fray yourself. Of course, lots of folks like to stick with the default sort for “Most Recent” to find the latest buzz, too.
One last goody on voting: click on the number of votes next to any bit-o-content you find, and you’ll see a list of all the users who voted for that item. If you like a post or trade note enough to vote for it, finding like-minded users who also voted for it is literally only a click away.
