Welcome to your Friday, traders! Lots of action this week on the earnings front: Automakers Ford (F) and Hyundai (HYU) swung to profits, as did Apple (AAPL) even as its archrival Microsoft (MSFT) announced its numbers yesterday. How’s your earnings season panning out: on-target or full of surprises? It never fails to amaze me: every Friday there are new folks topping the TradeKing Leaderboard. This week my shout-out goes to jpreston, HailtotheKing, lucky4u, blocktradez and BraddFlipp among many others. Nice trading, everyone!
Over in TK blogs, both DavidDT Trading-to-Win and JJL are both weighing the effects of a weakening dollar on the stock market’s recent movements. How worried are YOU about the dollar’s short- and long-term future? Meanwhile, the ever-colorful Will Profit is expanding his blog readership to a site called Capitalist Preservation. If you enjoy Will’s spicy take on politics and the markets, now you’ll be able to catch twice the action as he blogs here and “abroad”.
Moving over to the forums, if you’re an Excel rock-star in your investing plan, there are several traders who’d love to swap formulas with you. Quite a few traders have shared their picks for stocks that could double by the end of July. (How are they faring so far compared to your take on things?) Last but not least, unlucky wonders aloud if the market is controlling his everyday life, not in a good way. Got any advice for a brother in need? Unlucky, we’ve all been there – take your lady on vacation, as I just did, and clear your mind for a bit. You’ll be sharper for it on your return, I’m sure.
That’s it from me. Have a great weekend, everyone!
