Welcome to Friday, traders! Lots of action this week, as usual. Oil continued its upward climb with plenty of movement across the energy sector. Ten U.S. banks returned $68B in TARP funds this week, over a quarter of the total amount granted to banks according to the WSJ. Meanwhile, the market saw heavy trading in Hemispherx Biopharma (HEB) and Saytam Computer Services (SAY). Check out our Trading Activity page to find and interact with traders dabbling in these two hot stocks.
I see a few new faces on TradeKing’s Leaderboard, too: StringTheory, Maria Angeles de Zaragoza, rackir, and Big Slim among others. Nice trading, everyone – keep it up!
Now to the forums: if you have a strong opinion, pro or con, about CNBC’s Jim Cramer, definitely check out this video shared by TK client Patrick, then weigh in on the forum discussion that ensued. If you want a heated debate (or a food fight), you can always shout CRAMER in a roomful of traders. You sure won’t be bored with the result!
Are you a bear anxiously waiting for the pullback? You’ve got plenty of company at TK, it seems. Share your view with bears at this forum thread, check out All-Star Jeff Clark’s take, or see a cautious contrary view from Price Headley of BigTrends.
Last but not least, here’s a fun link from TK client unlucky. He’s started his own site, www.doo-wop.org, celebrating the music of the 1950s and 60s, and recently he shared it with the TK crew. Take a read (and a listen!); you’re sure to like what you find there.
That’s all I have, everyone – enjoy your weekend!
