Welcome back to Friday, folks. Another week for the record-books in the markets – it’s a bit dizzying, to say the least.

All the more reason to give a full-throated shout-out to those TKers who are tearing up the Leaderboard with their great performance: Hondaman, shortseller, uracowman, “E”majin, FX_Capitalist, Master Grasshopper, Get Up Get Out…the list goes on. Nice work!

In other news, you can imagine the hottest topics this week are the ongoing economic slide and the upcoming U.S. Presidential elections. UPod kicked off a great, brisk discussion about the latter with his post “If Obama wins…” K-Man takes the prize again this week for one of the most hotly debated blog posts on the mortgage crisis, playing the blame game and sussing out the potential future implications of this current mess.

Over on the forums, perhaps the hottest ticket this week was a thread whose subject line asks an audacious question in these markets: “Should I buy FNM, FRE, AIG, WB?” Lots of good pro-versus-con and trenchant analysis in there.

And if you’ve been wondering where our friend Will Profit has been, he gets us up-to-speed with a highly colorful blog post that is classic Will. If this quote doesn’t get you to click, I don’t know what will: “Yesterday was a triple crown, run for the roses kind of day. The ‘rescue’ travesty was signed into law, my wife came back to me, and so did my girlfriend. I'm not sure which of these three events I am less thrilled about. They left when they found the other woman existed. Both gave that as the reason for coming back. Yeah, this logic is crystal clear to me.” Read on here.

That’s it from me, folks. Enjoy your weekends, everyone!
