Jim’s a real hero of mine, plain and simple. I met him when he was a Senior Vice President of U.S. Clearing, formerly a Quick & Reilly subsidiary, and I was a relatively lowly head of Q&R’s fledgling online-brokerage unit. Jim always radiates class, intelligence and a great sense of humor. His knowledge of this business is considerable, and he always provided me with the benefit of his advice, experience and perspective.
In fact, this isn’t even Jim’s first appearance in my blog – I invoked his name in my first weeks of blogging as a fellow-fan of Number 2 pencils.
