Infographic Time: Who's Suing Who?

I found this infographic from Fast Company Design and had to share it. While every company has some at least one legal issue or dispute with a competitor, I could not get over just how much litigation is going on in “The Patent Wars!” This looks like a circular firing squad. One would think the only survivors from this onslaught would be the law-talking guys!

I’ve said it before and will say it again – our patent and intellectual property system in the U.S., while better than most places in the world, is quite horribly broken.

Well now that gene's can be patented which was assumed to belong to creation or the creator it is no wonder there might be a problem. Back in the early 1980's Kodak would patent everything in great detail. Only to have it stolen even faster. Example the film making machines that could lay down all the layers at once on film(11 emulsions) and paper. One month after they filed the patent the machines were for sale in Asia. We (our country) has been put up for sale by the politicians and it did not happen overnight.

The graphic reminds me how my wife and I noticed one night that every other commercial alternated between a new pharmaceutical, followed by a law firm advertising a class action suit against an old pharmaceutical.

Apple is the busiest.  They are starting to appear like a big bully.  This could backfire on them in PR.
