This group is for brand new option traders. If you've never traded an option, this groups for you. Although... we would like to have some experienced option traders to help us through the more difficult trades. I will start this group with a simple covered call. This will be my first option trade, so the excitement starts right away. We will be using The Options Playbook as our guide. Everybody can ask all and any questions without the fear of looking like an idiot.

My new blog is focused on where the markets are heading, which is incredibly important to determine the timing of option trades.  I am not claiming to be an expert on this stuff, but I listen to experts and have a moderate amount of personal experience.  Anyway, if anyone is interested, here it is:

I really want to start trading options, but I can't get a clue where to begin.  What I would like to do is to start out with the least risk and as I learn more increase my risk level.  Right now I own several stocks and was wondering what would be the best way to use them to my advantage while not selling unless I have to.  I currently have some sitting in the red and some in the black.  I would like to understand options before my first attempt.

Any words of wisdom are welcome.

I am sure other members of the Trader Network will also post. There are some great resources on our site to help you with the understanding of options and also researching options. The information can be found by logging into your account and going to Education > Learning Center. We offer webinars as well as intelligence reports which go through some basic information on options and also into more advanced strategies. I hope the information on our education section helps you with your research on options.
