About Us

This group is for brand new option traders. If you've never traded an option, this groups for you. Although... we would like to have some experienced option traders to help us through the more difficult trades. I will start this group with a simple covered call. This will be my first option trade, so the excitement starts right away. We will be using The Options Playbook as our guide. Everybody can ask all and any questions without the fear of looking like an idiot.

It was a wild ride for 8 weeks but the results are nearly perfect.

F finishes just below our $3 strike price and the options expired worthless!

We made $46 on the sale of 2 covered calls and gained .93 or 46% on F.  This trade gained a total return of 57% in 2 months.

Beginners Luck I suppose.

When F falls to $2,(no money/credit for F,yet) we will do this trade again, only double up on it.

So what do we do now?
We have 200 shares of F @ $2.02 on this trade.

Remember, this is not an investment, it's a trade that looks like an investment, or an investment that looks looks like a trade.

Some people say sell at $2.95, take your 57% profit and move on. Others want to sell another call and sit back. Still others seem extremely bullish in the long run.  As everyone knows we think F will reach $5 and we are trying to get the highest % return.  57% in 2 months seems astronomical, but we just did it. We can do it again, in the next 25 days.

I'll actually try the Ford play...let me know when you're back in business! I'd buy a call spread on it, though buy the March 5's and sell the 7's. March is the deadline so there's gunna be activity in March but 7 seems like a stretch. Let me know how you're gunna play it and I'll throw some money in to do the same trade. Good trade btw, congrats and keep it up!!

I am just reading up on options and must say am getting excited about trading them. I started trading stocks a little over a year ago and am up better than 60% for the year. I'd like to be in on this action as well to start my sojourn into the options world, though 7+ seems very plausible to me for Ford. I started out holding it back when it first fell to around $2 and was amazed and disappointed to watch it sit and do nothing while the rest of the stocks were soaring! I finally gave up and moved on just to see it take off afterwards!
I will set up the appropriate documents to get "Options Ready" this week. Looking forward to the action!
