(Not a post about stocks)

I can vaguely remember watching Omega Man as a child, but I do recall it leaving a strong impression; I must have been around 6 or 7.  A couple of weeks ago I saw Will Smith in I am Legend--a new movie based on the same novel as Omega Man.  While I really enjoyed the pace and almost always enjoy Will Smith's movies, I felt a little let down at the ending.

The tempo and intensity throughout the film deserved more closure, more symbolism--more something.  It was like being wound up too tight with no release.

Haven't seen "I am Legend".  It's a little far down the list given the qualify that is out there.  I saw "There Will be Blood" over the holiday.  Daniel Day Lewis was brilliant.  "Sweeny Todd" is good, but too graphic to recommend.  "Atonement" was very enjoyable -- good date movie.  Really liked the first half.  Great ending, too.  "Juno" was one of the better indie films of the year, although "Once" had more heart.  It cost $150,000 to make and has $14 million at the box office.  Yesterday, we saw "Charlie Wilson's War".  I liked it.  Tom Hanks was very convincing and Julia is hot.  But the star was Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Planning to see Charlie Wilson's War this week.  Hoffman is a great actor.  Will definitely rent 'There Will be Blood' if it's no longer at the theatres.
