dang. this week made me wonder if precious metals are better left hanging from ears and necks, in small quantities. what can I say, 20% drops at least in gold, silver, platinum, palladium. I'm too stunned to look up the exact figures. Welll, heck there went my little "hedge" from the chaos of the other markets. About all I could do to stem the increasing tide of red ink was to sell my GLD, and of course it worked, shortly after I sold gold did a turn-around and is on it's way back up. My personal SLV hole is much deeper than the GLD so for the moment I'm glad I have this wireless keyboard so I can post to the group from way down in this red ink pit. It never crossed my mind that I would be swimming in a precious metal pool of red ink  What can I say, I did not have the stomach I thought I did.
