I want to lean trading. Can you tell me, where should I start. What should I read. Thanks
I am new in trading any advise
I would check out the "Getting started in " book series available at Barnes and Noble. You will be able to find, within this series, a book that meets your knowledge level and area of market interest.
I would concentrate on stocks first. Many members using Trade King specialize in options trading and there is a book from the series covering basic option strategies.
I look for value stocks and then use charting as a tool to enter and exit trades. You might want to visit MorningStar's website for additional information.
The market can be very unforgiving, but it is a very fascinating institution.
I've learned a tremendous amount watching the free webinars at the CBOE - particularly Dan Sheridan's series on income strategies.
As far as books, I agree with Rollie. My first book was the Thomsett book called "Getting Started in Options." I also like Larry McMillan and Guy Cohen's books.
Finally, I personally think you'd be safest learning to trade Index ETFs like the SPY, IWM, and DIA. The volatility is much lower, excellent liquidity, and minimal risk of the underlying "gapping" up or down like a stock reacting to a news event. Either way, I would recommend focusing on one instrument and gaining an expertise.
All that said - - -I am a new trader as well so all my advice should be taken with that in mind!
Best of luck,
