I opened my account not too long ago so I'm relatively new to online trading. Prior to this I've only invested by DRIPS, so I'm not sure how you get your dividends from stocks that pay dividends. I purchased shares that aren't available via DRIPS like AZN & VOD. Will someone please explain how it works? With DRIPS the company has your info, but how does it work when you purchase your shares through online brokerages like Tradeking? Thank you for educating me ~ whoever responds.

They show up in your account automatically. Note that when investing in non-U.S. stocks (i.e., through an ADR) you will see withholdings depending on the tax status of your account and agreements with the particular country. For Vodafone, for example, I believe you will see a 15% withholding for divideneds if you are investing from a normal taxable account, but I'm not a tax expert...
