just getting my feet wet in trading, very new to the markets and all their wonderful glory. would love to hear from new and seasoned traders alike. Im here looking for supplemental income along with a way to eventually siphon savings into a couple low risk nest eggs for my families future.

Ive been doing a lot of reading for the basics, such as terms, acronyms (geez, i thought the IT world was bad), etc. doing some free trading over at investopedia. looking for stocks to buy and researching what little i know to look for.
would like to hear from some of you about what books you have read, or sites you use. any advice for a small starter (few thousand), on what kind of strategies i might look into, or other tidbits of wisdom? Or just to bullshxt.
