Questions regarding selling stock.

I opened up an account and did a ACH deposit, then purchased stock after the 5 day holding period. On 4/1 I bought BAC. Today I was trying set up a sell stop. However I got a message saying that "To protect my security, certain symbols couldn't be traded. Contact an account broker." Why would I be able to buy BAC without contacting a broker, but to sell I have to contact a broker? This makes no sens to me.

I THINK YOU MUST HAVE DONE A IMPROPER SELL STOP. TRADE KING SEEMS TO BE GOOD AT KEEPING  NEW TRADERS FROM MAKING IMPROPER TRADES BE CARFUL OF WHAT YOU ARE DOING GO IN SMALL STEPS. THIS IS REALLY CONFUSING. IVE  COME TO THE CONCLUSTION THAT SMALL TIME INVESTORS LIKE YOU AND ME HAVE TO RIDE THE COATAILS OF OTHER PEOPLE HOPE THAT HELPS
