Mike asked for suggestions in "What does everyone think?" post. Even though you title is much more intuitive. - For charts, you have more features from Streaming Tools. I tried both, but I prefer from Thompson. Even not being real-time (it's a minute or two delay), I found them more clean and easy to read. - For account page, I only wish a "clean" button for trade orders. Sometimes I make many trades in a day and I get a little confused seeing the orders. I remember when the list did not collapsed and was awful. - I don't know what you think should be a minimum requirement for streaming tools, but if you go to www.alphatrade.com you can save a few bucks (sorry TK) if you prefer to pay a monthly fee. I do more than minimum requirement so I don't mind. If you are not a day trader, I think the charts (from thompson) and the WatchList should be fine. Best regards Jason, you have a nice name :P

I'd like to see a more powerful stock scanner. I'm using StockFetcher now, and TK doesn't have anything like that functionality.

Any other suggestions you would like passed on?
Be good, Mike

I'd like to see an improved (faster) wireless account access. The current system moves like molasses in January. I've used almost every online brokerage firm and TradeKing's is the worst. I can't even switch between accounts that are all linked to my main margin account (I've upgraded the software on my device also). Ameritrade, E*Trade, Interactive Brokers, OptionsXpress all have excellent wireless platforms that use simplified versions of their main websites. I was interested in TradeKing for its community, blog and lower rates, etc but I currently have three accounts open that are virtually impossible to access without a computer. At this point, I'm having second doubts about moving all my accounts over to TradeKing without a major improvement in wireless access. Thanks for listening. . . K

New to this, but what I would really like to see is: * Real time streaming quotes( would probably encourage me to trade more) I know you can get this with a certain level of trading, but as I said I am new, so just learning, and that would probably encourage me to trade more often. I think Jasonstanda's post was great and covered many great enhancements that you should consider. Todd

First of all, I'd like to preface that in my shopping for an online brokerage, this is a GREAT site especially for us small-time investors. Great online tools(for free!), great prices. However, I do have a couple changes I'd like to see. My biggest beef is the 5 day wait it takes for ACH transactions to clear in order to be traded. This is especially annoying for people like me who squirrel money away from each paycheck. I have another brokerage account at another site linked to the same bank account and it usually takes, at most, 2 days to clear, usually only one. I thought this wait was only for initial deposits, but a 2nd deposit into my acct had the same wait time. The other thing, which is a more minor quibble for me, is that i'll echo Jason's sentiment that the watchlist needs improvement. For example, it seems more intuitive to just type in the new symbol you want to add to the list rather than put in a comma and then add it to the list of symbols. A couple times i have forgotten and replaced the list with something I wanted to add then had to reconstruct the whole list again :( Anyway thanks for the chance for feedback, and thanks for a great site.
Cheers,
G

On the option chains I would like to see a T Val (theoretical value) column displayed to help me determine immediately whether an option may be overpriced or not, without having to launch the option scanner. I do not daytrade, but I do use hourly and 10-minute, and sometimes 1-minute charts to enter and exit trades. I rarely just buy a stock out of the blue. Without the Streaming Quotes portfolio pages and the charts and analysis provided there, I would not be able to function as a trader. Judging from the comments here, making them freely available to everyone might serve two aims: increasing trade volume and retaining customers.

I would also second the idea of lower the requirement for streaming quotes. Also, perhaps the availability of Level 2 quotes? Even if it is not free right away or requires some sort of requirement such as the one for streaming quotes.

Good idea! Also I think the Quotes/News/Research page needs to be revamped. Customization would be great...being able to choose what to display and how we want that info displayed would be helpful.

I would also like to see the watchlist automatically refresh. I understand that if I continue to refresh my watchlist then my account won't time out, so I see what it's been done this way, but it would be nice to have it current. Maybe it could be a checkbox option - use at your own risk, times out after 2 hours or some such. I would like to see some improvements in the stock screener. While it's fairly easy to use, I tend to get a lot of false positives when I screen for small cap stocks. Often times 25-30% of my list will be stocks that are no longer listed on the exchange/ticker shown by the screener and the price or other details listed are not accurate. It would also be nice if we could screen by share price and sort by any of our screen criteria. Streaming quotes would be neat, but I understand that this is an expense thing. The same with reports, reuters or S&P reports would be nice, but maybe this isn't possible if we want to maintain our low trade costs. I would love to see more education topics. Although I understand that TK is very option centric, some folks on here just want a nice brokerage account. The whole feel and community is attractive to a younger generation of investors, which I believe could benefit from a quality education section.

That's a good suggestion. Line breaks in forum :) How JasonStandard do it? RetireOnTime, the session time out is a security feature. Every website with this kind of information should have that. Sometimes I have to Log In again, but It's better that way. We don't like to backUp, but it's needed. It's like people who don't have their contacts in a notebook. When They lost the cellphone, they lose (almost) every contact.

I completely understand about the timeout, it would just be nice if either A. watchlist wasn't tied to the account timeout or B. the watchlist automagicallly refreshed but still timed out after a specified period. It's just a convenience thing and not a necessity.

Line breaks are a double enter/return key striking.
This (bold) line is due to a double enter/return key striking. This (italic) line is due to a single enter/return key striking.

I'd like to see downloadable spreadsheets of historical price data like what's available on Yahoo Finance. I use them to build my own charts in Excel to track my holdings from the day of my initial investment.

I would also like to see the 5 day wait peroid for ACH transfers reduced. With the 7 transfers I have done here, the money has been removed from my banking account always within 2 days. I do not understand why I am still having to wait 5 days. Other brokerages will allow a person to trade after 2 days. If it is manditory that you wait 5 days for every ACH transfer it should be stated as such not just for the initial deposit.

The Forum page needs to be organized. More categories are needed or it's gonna get messy. Here's a few suggestions for catagories:

I agree with Keepingitsin with the ACH deposits. I don't understand why the transfer period is 5 full business days when withdrawals are only 2 business days. TradeKing needs to change the 5 days into 2 days for deposits as well!
