no suggestions yet...i started this thread to see if anyone uses the newsletters. i've never used one and was wondering if they're helpful or just useless. my guess is that most are junk.

Thank you for the response. Generally speaking I think the more information you have at your fingertips the better, including market reviews by newsletters. There are several newsletters in the marketplace that cover various segments of financial markets. Some are focused on particular products, while others are more generalized. Like anything, it's important to do your homework with any newsletter or financial publication you subscribe to. It's also important to stay in-line with your investment profile and not stray from your investment objectives. However with that said, I can say from my experience that some of the newsletter managers are incredibly in tune with financial markets and are excellent at market review. Unfortunately we can't give you any advice on a particular newsletter, but I'm sure if you review their websites and gather other user feedback, you can determine if the information and service they provide would be beneficial to your investment goals.

Dear Sam Houston - Thank you for writing. We are excited about the new Auto Trade product and are open to newsletter suggestions. You can plan on seeing newsletters added over the coming months. I can't give you an exact time for the one's you mention above however I can tell you that they are on our radar and we are hoping to get them added soon.

Hi Dave, this got lost in the transition, but I mentioned before - I believe you guys would do well to look at The Motley Fool newsletters. They are fairly popular and having auto-trade for them might increase your market a decent bit. Seems like the folks at the Fool like to stick together.

Has anyone observed a "Cramer Effect" with newletters? I'm curious if stocks rise or fall significantly due to newsletter recommendations.

If there are any newsletters you would like to see added, please let me know.

Hi all, It might be usefull to post a comparison of these newsletters. Including stats on performance for 2007. Like number of trades, percent winning trades, average percent gain, etc. I am looking into using ezstockoptions autotrade. Does anyone use ezstockoptions service?? Currently subscribe to Schaeffers PowerTrend Passport series. No too impressive so far, about 6 months. Jim B

I agree to what Jim B says. I am also trying to get a feel for these auto trade newsletters, how many people actually use them and the average performance. I have been researching TradeLikePros. Any input or suggestions would help a lot. Brian

Brian, It looks like ezstockoptions and TradeLikePros are partners. I suspect they use the same tools and publish several letters. The TradeLikePros looks like Day Trades and Swing Trades. Several of their January trades are the same as the Options trades recommended in ezStockOptions newsletter. So I can summarize their published 2007 performance data, and post my analysis here. We should be able to do the same with the TradeLikePros newsletter from their 2007 performance data. I like their options performance in 2007. Limited number of trades, consistent monthly returns even during the down months, low drawdowns, and good average gain per trade. I will post the options performance analysis here over the weekend. And if you are interested, I can do the same for TradeLikePros newletter and also post. Let me know. Jim

Jim - i would like to see the summarized performance for TradeLikePros if possible. Thanks for your help! Seems like autotrade would be a good option for people who can not devote enough time watch the market all day and make trades.

It looks like out of all the newsletters Stock Advisor Group has the most nymber of winners! look at their 2008 performance they didn't have a loser. http://www.stockadvisorgroup.com/Performance.html . Also, I think ez stock options has the highest profit percentage and they only pick about 1-2 options per week. any thoughts?

Hi, Also would be interested if anyone is using www.options-trading-system.com and if you are happy with the results?

Check out www.optionalarm.com. I've used them for about a year and they tend to get on really hot streaks. December was horrible but they did well overall last year. I don't trade all of their picks but they do find plays that I never would find on my own. Customer service is good although their site is bare bones. Reasonably priced and worth a look at least.

Is anyone a member of the Martin D. Weiss "Crisis Opportunity Speculator "? It is an Option Trading strategy advisor. I am looking into signing up but I am a bit hesitant due to the pricey membership cost, even though they state that if I don't like it I can get my money back. Any opinions? They are http://www.weissinc.com/
