Read the whole article, he makes a very helpful suggestion for a hedge play that almost always works. |

I've had shares of ZAGG for about 3 months now. They make accessories for smart phones/ i pods. Biggest seller is the Invisibleshield, a clear thin protective coating for mobile electronics. It has been up and down , but today was up 12%. Just announced they will be listed on NASDAQ and earnings come out next week. I plan to sell at least 1/2 my shares just before earnings, hold the other 1/2 in case of big + surprise. It is a very speculative play, huge growth, but already big price run-up this year. Not enough of a moat to consider holding long term, although the "Internet tsunami" (Cramer's phrase) may help for the near future.

ENG went from $3.01 in early trading to $3.55 late, and I think it still has room to go up some more. Sold off some today, but looking for this to go above $4.50 sometime in the not too distant future.
SPAR continues to climb as of late. I am long both SPAR & ENG |

As of yet the movers are still lagging far behind my buys in September.

I have been waiting for a pullback in RMIX-U.S. Concrete. Bought on the big drop. I hope the infrastructure spending materializes before these guys run out of money. A swing for the fence. Not for the faint of heart.

http://tinyurl.com/yha8l7k NOL Carrybacks The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act allowed qualified small businesses (those with less than $15 million in annual gross receipts) to carry back a 2008 net operating loss (NOL) for up to five years. The bill extends that treatment to 2009 NOLs, although it limits the amount of loss than can be carried back to the fifth year. It also allows all businesses to take the five-year carryback, except those that received TARP assistance. |

Nice picks folks. Didn't play any of them, but all except ENG are up significantly today. Otter, you playing any other bio/pharmas in the 0.75-3.50 range?

Here is one I have. CXM - Cardium Therapeutics
This dropped the last couple of weeks when the market dipped and as of yet has not recovered. I don't like the fundamental numbers, but from a technical standpoint it looks like it may have formed a bottom and is starting to head up. I wouldn't bet the farm on it but it might be a good spec play for a quick gain. Looks like once it gets going it can go up pretty fast. I am long CXM. |
