I just purchased ATVI (activision) The company that makes Call of Duty games. Next week they are coming out with my favorite game of all times COD Modern Warfare 2.
I think it is going to do great so i didn't hesitate to purchase it plus they seem to have been very solid performers for a long time.
Anyone thoughts?

Guru - the new game might or might not be a killer. The real question is how much of this is already factored-in in the ATVI share price. My guess is that everybody knows about the new release and 80 - 90% of it is already built-in in the price.

I know that to some extent this new release is factored-in the share price but i believe there is always plenty big surprises for releases this huge. Plus their stock has been almost steady for over a year now.

I've seen alot of negative things about MW2 so I would be careful. I'm sure it will sell well but maybe not as well as expected.

There has been a steadily increase on the ATVI stock since i bought the stock. Tomorrow we'll see the initial results of the release of Modern Warfare 2. I think there will be an immediate increase to the stock after the first figures come out. I bought the stock based on the steadily performance that it has had in the last year. With the holiday season the gaming industry does very well and with some major hits that Activision has in store, i think ATVI we'll surprise a lot of people.

Do you guys think we'll see a big jump tomorrow on ATVI? The release of the COD Modern Warfare is tomorrow morning at 12:00 AM.
How long does it usually take for the market to react to the sales numbers? Anyone...? |
