I am burnt out and would like to utilize the Auto-Trading Businesses who are advertised here. I am curious about EZ Options (especially) and the others. How is your personal success with them and Trade King? Looks like a NO Brainer if you want to give your brain a rest. Too good to be true or how is your success? Interested in their Options Trading and Recommendation services which are auto-traded here. I appreciate your feedback.

If any trading system, auto or otherwise, worked like the adds say they WOULD NOT LET the public in on it!

Dear genius5000k,
Thank you for inquiring about Auto Trade. Here is a link to a previous forum that talks about some of the newsletters;

http://community.tradeking.com/forum/topics/90/forum_posts

You may want to check directly with some of the people posting in that forum, like Jim Bradley and also Trader1. Due to regulatory constraints I'm not allowed to directly comment on performance; however if you think about it, subscribers are the source of revenue for newsletters. The more subscribers they have the more revenue for them, so in a way how well they do as a business is somewhat based on their performance. If their performance were continually bad they probably would not be in business. Although I can't mention specifics, I can say that we do have users who have had positive, and yes negative returns, just like the best investors and traders on Wall Street do.

It's important that the strategy of the newsletter fits into your overall investment objectives. So please make sure to do your due diligence. You may want to take a look at how long they have been in business, etc.

I think the more transparency we have in this arena the better. Please keep the newsletter feedback coming!

Thanks,
Dave Dusseault

I don't see why that statement would be true although I'm doing my research.

I called EZStockOptions yesterday to find out more about their company and services.  They were very helpful in answering all of my questions.  Here is what I learned:
  • The company was started in 2004.
  • They have 4 different services: EZStockOptions, Daytrading-Stockpicks, ShortSellStockPicks, and StockAdvisorGroup.
  • EZStockOptions is their newest and most popular service started in 2007 with over 50 members (only 1% of members have canceled).
  • They did say TradeKing is the most used auto trading partner with their services.
  • If you don't have a lot of money to invest ($2,000) they advise to use the EZStockOptions service with the 30% strategy.

After talking with them, I am more willing to try out the EZStockOptions service and see how it goes.  Give them a call if you have more questions.

Sounds too good to be true for sure, so I subscribed!  I'm set up to autotrade with ezstockoptions.com and I'll let you know how it goes.  Also, I'm brand new to trading anything, and only have a couple grand to start with, so I'm really hangin' it out there.  It will either pay off or it wont.  I'll let you know.  Mark, the guy who runs ez has been super helpful and answered all my questions, so if you have any, I can tell you what I know.

I looked at thier website.  Ouch 200 bucks a month?  One would have make tons of money to break even with that kind of charge. I hope you realize that you will have to earn the equivilent of 12%  a year on a 20K investment just to break even after shelling out the 200 each month.  THat means to earn just enough to beat what you could get on a CD you would need 30K.  I hope you have lots to invest and have many winners. Good luck.

I am starting with the Trade Like Pros Stock Picks which is a company connected to EZ Stock Options.  I have purchase a 3 month subscription and will think about purchasing the EZ Stock Option subscription at the end of my trial if everything works out.  A representative from the owner of the newsletter made a special promotion this month, for 1 year subscription to EZ Stock Options it would also include a 1 year subscription to Trade Like Pros.

I will keep you posted on the comparison of actual trades, using the auto trade system, versus what is posted on the newsletter website.  My auto trade account is set to start trading tomorrow.  Here's hoping it's reliable!

Thanks for all of the replies. I am going to give it a shot when Trade King finally let's my fund my account which is taking 8??? business days. I will start modestly with $20K and up the anti if I like what I'm seeing. I would love to hear from someone with experience here and I certainly will be posting on my success with them - yes, I have spoken with Mark, etc. Can't believe how long the ACH is taking here but 2 more days...

First auto trade using Trade Like Pros and although it was a loss (BNI -1.5%), the company reported it as so on their performance, also the trade was excuted at the recommendation prices by the newsletter; seems reliable so far.

I have traded both EZ Stock Options and Stock Adviser Group trades for the past 2 weeks.  Week 1 was great and Week 2 was not so great.  At times, the picks repeat themselves between services (like BNI pick last week) which increases your chance for gain and risk of loss.  Also, in about 6 trades, it is apparent that Tradeking is working out the kinks on their execution of the trades.  One time, they mistakenly thought I subscribed to "Day trader" and entered a 1% target instead of my SAG 6%.  Caused me to cover well earlier than I should have.  To their credit, I called and they corrected the trade and re-instated my position (ZLC Short) which ended up in achieving a 6% gain.  Just this past week, they completely missed a short sale (never entered it) and I was not able to tell them about it until post-trading Friday.  I'm due a call back on Monday.  I'll have to enter my own trade this weekend.  Luckily, the trade pattern on Friday's SAG selection worked out that I did not lose out on any potential gain.  Overall, I'm encouraged with the service, but realize that you need to watch your trade executions closely...there is definitely risk of human error.

Thanks. I'd like to keep this post high. I am not confident in much of anyone's ability in a sideways market like this. Unfortunately stops are getting swung through on a regular basis and I would assume the same happened to EZOptions this week. Keep the feedback coming please! I am poised but cautious. Been losing plenty on my own.

Dear wxjimc,
Thank you for writing. Feedback like this and having issues discussed in an open forum will continue to drive the TradeKing customer experience above and beyond the standard.

I reviewed the trade alert you mention. The alert instructed the execution of a short order on PHH if the stock traded between 20.47 and 20.41. The stock opened 2/25/2008 at $20.50. It then gapped down to $20.34, which is outside of the "trigger point" stated in the alert. It then remained outside of the trigger area during the execution window the alert provided.

As stated the original error you mention was rectified by TradeKing. If we do make an operational or processing error, we will adjust, just as if you call us and place a buy order and broker accidentally types in sell. The things we can't prevent against are circumstances out of our control, like if the newsletter does not email us the alert, etc.

Thank you for the feedback and please let me know if you have further questions.

Thanks

Dave -- thanks for the explanation.  As it turns out, the gap down in the stock was the reason the trade didn't trigger -- it was not a missed trade as I incorrectly stated previously.

For anyone considering using the Autotrade service, I recommend you completely understand the newsletter's trading rules and be comfortable with the ins & outs of how Tradeking (or any other broker) accepts the challenging task of executing these trades while managing the multitude of trading rules that exist.  I remain encouraged that this is a service that will reap benefits in the weeks to come.

About a week into auto trading and I have 3 losses and 1 win; however, Trade Like Pros has listed each trade as such and they were executed near the trigger for entry and stop-loss on the 3 losses...So far, I have found their autotrade service to be reliable.

I have been using cyclespreads for the past year with another broker.  They just started autotrading with TK here so I'm going with the cheaper commissions (:  They are not exciting, very consistent, and have made more for me in a year than any other autotrade thing I've tried.
