Just when you think north.... they go south....

I wasted a lot of capital last Friday thinking that the down leg was going to happen .....

I think I'll take a break for a while, and stop forecasting and go back to what I do best.....

Take my emotions out of the trade and let my little bots work for me..... Humble pie tastes terrible....

Good luck to all..... and to all have a good week......

I'll be sulking for the rest of this one....

It's weird.  Last year, we had "mutual fund Mondays", where large holders were buying the market higher Monday, then selling it off through the week.

This year, it hasn't been named yet, but it looks it would be called "Monday sell off".  Then Tuesday or Wednesday, they buy again.

We'll see...

This is a volatile market, which by definition means it will go up and down. But it does not go up or down by your command nor mine. If  you are patient, however, it will usually hit your low point to buy, your high point to sell, in time. It doesn’t do this all the time, or else we would be perfect, but it does it often enough to keep us solvent, maybe a bit more. It is usually impatience that leads us astray.

Mutual funds largely service retail investors, it may have become Mutual fund redemption Mondays,  http://www.ici.org/research/stats/flows/flows_07_18_12
