Groupon

Anyone looking to invest in Groupon's IPO Friday, November 4th? There seems to be much pessimism surrounding this stock, but I believe short-term gains are to be had for those willing to take the risk. Assuming it is not possible to buy at the offering price of $16 to $18 a share, what would be a good entry point (if any)? Any thoughts or investment strategies would be greatly appreciated.

Avoid.

But if you have to buy it, get out on day one once (if) it spikes.I refer to LNKD for what has become the standard for IPO's, even for good companies.

According to Barron's, they advise to avoid Groupon.  They say that it has an unproven earnings record and slow growth.  They also say that Groupon is considering raising the price for it's initial IPO.  Do what you feel.

unless you can get in on the initial offering, DONT!

if you get some shares before, wait for the initial big pop and dump it and dont look back.

not an investment...very quick trade
