Interesting that it's electronically traded and not open outcry.  I wonder if the spread will be tighter than SPX.  I wonder if SPX will lose significant volume.

What difference do you think the PM settlement will cause?

I think the PM settlement aligns with regular option expiration and the big traders may be able to arbitrage. It is a better hedge for a big cap SPX-like position. I have mixed feelings, it will steal some volume from SPY and futures, at least initially and since I trade SPY hope it does not affect the tight bid/ask spread there
