What is BOT on executed order?!?

Put in 2 different limit orders just now and they both came back as executed, and under "Action" column, it says BOT.  No shares or $ transferred.  What does this mean?

"Bought to Open"  I believe that is what it means.

shows up when you look at my community account, but not in my holdings.  Have updated the page many times.  Furthermore, the two transactions, if both completed, would have drawn my cash value below zero.  Very strange and very curious what is happening with these transactions.

Order was for common stock, not options

Hey Eligh Cash,

When you see BOT on the order status page it indicates that your BUY order has executed.

We are currently experiencing a system issue which is affecting some of our clients in regards to the reporting of executed orders and the proper updating of the holdings/activity pages.  These two pages typically update in real-time, but right now in your account they are not.  Your two orders in question did indeed execute, but just haven't updated.  We are working with our developers now to resolve this issue, but at this time we do not have an exact time frame for a correction.  If you have any questions about this order, please feel free to contact us through email, phone, or Live Chat.  Thank you for informing us about this issue in your account.

In trading shorthand: BOT = bought SLD = sold CXL = cancel CXLD = cancelled UROUT = you are out (successfully cancelled) FOK = fill or kill AON = all or none GTC = good 'til cancelled (and many more) Many of these are legacy/nostalgia shorthand from the days, not so long ago, when our communications with each other in the industry were constrained by character limitations in system fields or per character fees charged on early "wire" systems. It's been funny for me to observe things reverting to this style with the way folks conserve characters these days with text messaging and such. Be Good, Don Montanaro TradeKing CEO

Thanks Don,

Not used to the transaction happening that way since I filled one order at one price, it wasn't reflected in my account, so I filled another at a higher price.  I know now that it means that trade executed...could have gotten myself in some serious trouble with that little lack of focus.

ciao,

If you use the "back" button of your browser, you might be getting a cached copy of your "holdings" page. Reload, or use the "holdings" tab.

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen the UROUT one. Is that new? That's a funny one. :D
