Just a note to all, I refered a friend and trade king did not give me my $100 dollars. So just beware, don't expect trade king to follow through with what they state. When asked why, the service department could not tell me but said it was confidential.
Just curious the experience of others. I regret reffering a friend to a company that doesn't stand by it's word. Next time I will refer my friends elsewhere.
Same thing happened to me. Last fall 2010 my friend got their $50 but I received nada. Still waiting for promotions to contact me as promised. My add-a-friend shows expired! I was told I'd hear from them within 2 days but it's been over a week. If Tradeking can't cough up 50 lousy bucks for me getting them a 10k client it's time to shift my funds.

Refer a Friend is a great program for both our customers and us. We love having our clients refer friends. We also do this also internally as part of our hiring strategy. We find our best customers and also employees come from referrals.
The refer a friend program on the back end is of course automated and happens when you send the link from the refer a friend page, and your friend opens the account while following the link they receive in the email they receive from you.
If for some reason that hasn't happened due to a technical issue where perhaps the friend has not followed that link or whatever the case may be, we are of course very happy to honor the request as I mention above we value our clients and their friends very much. And you are right, we're not wasting anyone's time, especially yours over 50 bucks.
You will hear from us tomorrow with specifics regarding your account payment.

While logged into your account you would be able to go to Services > Refer a Friend to check on the status of your referral. Towards the bottom of that page will be the different referrals that you have emailed. There would be a status section to provide you with an update. Once the requirements of the promotion have been met the status area will continue to update.
If you have contacted our service team and they were not able to provide you with specifics that will generally have to do with the answer requiring account specific information on your friend. Due to industry regulations we would not be able to provide that type of information to another individual. However, if your friend would like to contact us we would be happy to review their account to determine the status of the referral. We are available over over the phone at 877-495-5464 and through live chat from 8:00 am et - 6:00 pm et.

I have referred three people to Trade King and was paid for two of them. I didn't get anything for the third person because she opened an account without talking to me about it so that I could send her an invite. I haven't thought about the bonus for her account because we didn't follow the rules for the referral program.
I was paid promptly for the other two friends that I referred to Trade King because we did things the right way.
Trade King has been an excellent service to work with and I recommend them all the time. Did you use this website's referral software to send out the invite to your friend?

I have referred two people myself and received prompt payment for both. BE SURE your friend completed the process on their end, including the amount deposited into their account.
Before reading on down the page, I surmised that the answer to Mr. Devil's complaint involved privacy of the new account holder. Moral of story might be that C-S might have explained that point to end the issue before it began.

I referred a friend last year who sits next cube to me. Only mistake was that he didn't use the "Refer a Friend" email. I emailed them and explained them, but they weren't interested it's either the email or nothing. Go figure.
I can follow up that I referred my brother to Trade King. He followed the email, deposited at least $1000(I think that's the minimum), made a trade within 30 days and we both received our $100 dollars. I appreciate Trade King for the Refer-A-Friend system, I take that $100 dollars as about 20 commission free trades. Thanks Trade King!
One problem could be cookies. I signed up with a bonus offer but used to clear all of my cookies daily. The terms required that I keep cookies so they could track me. I didn't get the bonus, but realized it was my fault.
